DAY 1 - ARRIVAL TO LIMA

Welcome to Peru!. A Face Peru representative will meet you at the airport in Lima and scort you to the hotel. Please speak him/her regarding arrangements for the following day and your Peru Tour.
DAY 2 - LIMA | EXPLORING THE CITY OF THE KINGS
Overnight in LIMA (Altitude: Sea Level)
Meals: Breakfast
Tour the city , and you will be able to see the wondrous colonial and contemporary parts. Starting with the grid-like Plaza de Armas. View of the impressive colonial Cathedral and the multicolored guards before the Presidential Palace. Visit the twisting underground catacombs in the Church of San Francisco. Finally, drive to modern city to admire pre-Incan artifacts at the Larco Herrera Museum.
DAY 3 - LIMA/ CUSCO/SACRED VALLEY | HAND-FEEDING LLAMAS AND ALPACAS
Overnight in URUBAMBA (Altitude: 3000 m. – 10000 ft)

Continuing with your Peru Tour, fly to Cusco and enjoy a relaxing hot cup of coca tea in a hidden Incan Palace. En route to the lower altitudes of the Sacred Valley, visit alpacas, llamas, vicuñas and guanacos and learn about the ancient weaving techniques used to make fabrics from their hairy coats. Meet with locals still wearing traditional garments and learn how it difers between villages. Lunch is served in a gorgeous restaurant overlooking the valley, plus there will be the chance to visit Pisac market where a wide variety of colorful Peruvian merchandise can be bought.
DAY 4 - SACRED VALLEY | UNDERSTANDING LIFE IN THE ANDES
Overnight in URUBAMBA (Altitude: 3000 m. – 10000 ft)

Visit the striking remnants of the Inca fortress at Ollantaytambo, walk its streets where Incan culture still thrives. After this, we take you to a quaint village Hatuncancha to get a real feel for how Andean people live from day to day. You will be treated to a lunch featuring homegrown pruduce such as maize and andean potatoes. On the way back to the hotel, we stop in a local bar to learn about the process of making ‘chicha’, a corn based alcohol popular between farmers.
DAY 5 - MACHUPICCHU | EXPLORING THE LOST INCA TREASURE
Overnight in AGUAS CALIENTES (Altitude: 2000 m. – 6500 ft)

Jump aboard the train to Machu Picchu as you travel through stunning mountain scenery and exuberant vegetation. On arrival you drive to the infamous Incan citadel and begin a private tour around this breath-taking ancient city. You will quickly understand why it is one of the most revered tourist attractions in the Americas; its location alone is dramatic in the extreme. Learn about the people who lived here and other interesting facts. You will visit places such as the Temple of the Sun and see the remnants of a once glorious civilization. You can watch the sunset cast its warm glow over the stone terraces of Machu Picchu before descending to your hotel in Aguas Calientes town.
DAY 6 - MACHUPICCHU/CUSCO | WALKING IN INCA FOOTSTEPS
Overnight in CUSCO (Altitude:3350 m. – 11380 ft)

Rise early for a hike through the foggy ruins at sunrise. If you have an adventurous spirit you are more than welcome to hike the other trails in this area. The Sun Gate, or Intipunku, point of arrival to Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail; or the Wayna Picchu, the hard-earned view from the top is truly breathtaking. Finally, journey back to Cusco on board the Vistadome train.
DAY 7 - CUSCO | GIGANTIC WALLS IN SACSAYHUAMAN
Overnight in CUSCO (Altitude: 3350 m. – 11350 ft)

Tour the city of Cusco. Explore the magnificent Coricancha, the Inca’s primary religious construction and the Cathedral, house of fantastic colonial art. Next, a ten-minute drive will bring you to the vast sacred sanctuary of Sacsayhuaman. Here, you will see three parallel levels of fortification constructed out of enormous rocks. Then we visit the bustling San Pedro food market. Spend the afternoon at leisure.
DAY 8 - DEPART LIMA

You will be transferred from your hotel mid-morning to Cusco Airport for a flight to Lima where you will be able to arrange your international flight back home or onto more adventures!
